FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
New to all-star cheer? Here's everything Wellington Allstars parents ask us most.
Does my child need cheerleading experience to join?
Not at all. Our Novice program and Beginner Tumble classes are built for athletes who have never set foot in a cheer gym. Coaches teach the fundamentals — tumbling, stunting, jumping, and dance — in a low-pressure, developmental environment.
What ages do you take?
We work with athletes of all ages and skill levels — from young beginners in Novice and Kids CrossFit through teen All Star competitors. We even run Adult Workout classes for parents who want to train while their athlete practices. Not sure where your child fits? Contact us and we'll help.
What's the difference between Novice, Prep, and All Star?
Novice is non-competitive and perfect for first-timers. Prep teams compete with less time, cost, and travel. Limited Travel All Star is the full experience with fewer away trips, and Full Travel All Star is our highest level with extra practices and top competitions. See the full side-by-side comparison on What We Offer.
How do tryouts and team placements work?
Our try-outs are evaluations, not cuts — every athlete gets a team. Coaches assess tumbling, jumps, stunting, and performance, then place each athlete by age and skill. Read the full rundown on our Try Outs Process page.
What classes do you offer during the week?
Beginner Tumble, Jump, Stretch & Flexibility, Flyer Focus, Level 1–3 Intro and Tech Work, Kids CrossFit, Adult Workout, and Open Gym — Monday through Thursday evenings plus Saturday mornings. See times on our Class Schedule.
Where are you located?
Our gym is at 17035 Persimmon Blvd West, Unit 800, Westlake, FL 33470 — minutes from Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee, and The Acreage. Get directions.
What are your hours?
Monday–Friday 3:00–9:30pm, Saturday 9:00am–6:00pm, closed Sunday. Individual class times are on the schedule.
How much does it cost?
Tuition depends on the program — Novice is our lowest-commitment option and Full Travel All Star the highest. For current class-session and team pricing, check the Parent Portal or reach out to Heather — she'll walk you through options for your budget.
How do I register?
Everything runs through our Parent Portal (Studio Pro) — class sign-ups, team registration, and tuition. First time? Contact us and we'll get you set up.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes — one-on-one instruction for tumbling, stunting, jumping, and flexibility. Contact us to match your athlete with a coach and time.
What should my athlete wear to class?
Fitted athletic wear, clean athletic or cheer shoes, hair up, and no jewelry (a safety rule on the mat). Bring a water bottle — Florida heat is real, even indoors.
Can parents watch practice?
Yes! The gym has two large viewing windows so you can watch your athlete on the floor with their coaches.
